Moffitt Cancer Center - Tampa - 4:15PM EST
The surgery was delayed but everything is working according to plan. We had a great pre-op meeting with Dr. Letson. The entire team here worked really well at making her comfortable and ready.
My dear wife wanted to leave everyone today with a wink and a smile and say: "I will see everyone soon!"
She would like everyone to have a good evening, have a cocktail or something and not to worry, that everything will be just fine (sounds like someone you know?).
And now she just went - for her next journey.
I will update as soon as I have more.

Thank you, Paul!
ReplyDeleteShe looks very confident, as usual. Tell her, we will have a big cocktail on her health.
Love and a big hug to both of you.
Elisabeth
All our love and good thoughts are with you as Kathy begins her journey and Paul sits and waits (and waits...) 'til you can continue the journey together.

@Elizabeth: Thanks and I will. Just as she was starting to drift away I told her that I would wait for her on the other side with her favorite drink: Cosmo. I think she almost believed me.
ReplyDelete@Jerry: you get good at waiting in these situation, don't you. the tons of coding i have to do help to keep the mind busy, thanks!
Paul, how terrible to make her wait that long on an empty stomach and I am sure nervous! But as usual, she looked so happy and content, even radiant going off for major surgery. Please give her a kiss for us when she gets back to her room!! Tell her we will keep her filled with Cosmos when she gets back home. (I think that smile showed a hint of some great premedication)Much love, Robin
