I am happy to report, that I am feeling better every day. I was just starting to question whether I am just passing the time existing and healing but not doing anything important.
Just read a quote:
"There is no such thing in anyone's life as an unimportant day."
-- Alexander Woolcott.
I feel good about what I am doing now! : )
you are NOT doing nothing - you are resting your body, healing your tissues, rejuvinating your blood volume, staying away from strangers and friends to avoid infection, allowing the knee implant to bind and grow to the surrounding bone and tissues. All of this is happening while you are "so called" resting. Your body is a plethora of activity - allow it to rest please! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove what Robin wrote!! Healing is your job for awhile, and imagine how you will be able to support others to heal....
ReplyDeleteYes, listen to Robin. You must heal from the inside out. Talk to yourself as you would one of your clients. Push out and up, but also rest and recover. Keep your brain as busy as you can. Do as much as possible, but do not overtire yourself. Take CARE!

ReplyDeleteTo rest and heal.You may not feel it, but your body is working really card. Enjoy the time.( but that may be hard for a warrior !)
Kathy, I just got caught up on your blog. You are doing so well! I read that Dr. Letson was your surgeon, & your surgery was at Moffitt. An Ortho resident rotating in our hospital spoke so highly of your surgeon & hospital. So happy that you are progressing so well. Stay strong! And continue to heal! Sending you much love!

@Avis
ReplyDeleteThank you for that. Kathy and I already think the world of Letson and his team but reinforcement of that established confidence is always welcomed.
